Fourth of July Party Ideas
As the month of July draws near, Americans start to prepare for one very special holiday: their Independence Day. This celebration is commemorated every July fourth. It’s a patriotic holiday that’s marked with fun, laughter and fireworks. Any patriotic American enjoys this festive holiday season.

Having a Fourth of July party is easy, but for some people it can be a big hassle. Don’t worry about it; as long as you know the different elements of the party, you’ll easily be able to organize one. Here are several pointers on organizing a fun Fourth of July celebration.

Decorations
Most Fourth of July parties are held outdoors so that guests will be able to enjoy the fireworks, but this doesn’t mean you can’t put up fun decorations. Use the types that sparkle and shimmer, such as twinkling lights in the American colors of red, white and blue. There are also balloons and American flag decorations you can use.
Food
A traditional American dinner would be appropriate, and since it’s a warm-weathered holiday, barbecued foods would be very a good choice. Serve a wide variety of barbecued kebabs, burgers, hotdogs, and corn accompanied by salads like coleslaw, potato salad and pasta salad. End the meal with yummy desserts, such as fruit salad, American apple pie, and a rectangular cake that’s topped with red, white and blue icing resembling the American flag. Here are some great recipes to satisfy your 4th of July hunger.

Activities
Fourth of July parties are more enjoyable if you have prepared games and fun activities for your guests. Egg and spoon relays, tug of war games and balloon tosses are great and can go well for both adults and children. If you’re into sports, organize Frisbee, volleyball and flag football games. You can also gather around a bonfire and make S’mores while singing along to a guitar accompaniment.
As shown in the picture below, picnics are a fairly common activity during the 4th of July.

Fireworks
No Fourth of July party would be complete without fireworks to light up your evening of celebration, but you should remember how to use them properly to prevent accidents. For one, adults should be only those who handle them. Don’t aim the fireworks at houses, people or other flammable materials. Also, keep water nearby in case they accidentally ignite. Also, you should dispose of fireworks properly by soaking them in water before you throw them out.
