Kill Bill Costumes for Women

Want to kill Bill? You’re probably familiar with the two-part action-filled movie Kill Bill, starring the feisty Uma Thurman. You’ve always admired The Bride and her fantastic moves, deadly techniques, and her determination to seek revenge on the people who tried to kill her. Well, why not dress up as her on the next Halloween party you go to? It’ll be a fun change from all the cutesy movie character getups you always see!

Kill Bill costumes are very widely available today, in various costumes shops. The most popular of course is The Bride’s yellow and black two-piece jumpsuit. Just complete the getup with a pair of black closed shoes, katana (Japanese sword), and (if you’re not blond), a wig. You’re all set to hunt down Bill and his assassins!

Of course, there are other Kill Bill costume ideas, if you want to dress up as the other characters. Here are some ideas that might help you.

  • Bride costume- If you want something more glamorous instead of the yellow jumpsuit, wear the outfit the Bride wore when she was assassinated. Just get a wedding gown (an old, second-hand one would do), with a veil and a bouquet. Then, splatter some fake blood on it. Complete the getup with a katana.
  • O-ren Ishii costume- She’s the Chinese-Japanese-American assassin who became the leader of the Tokyo Yakuza. O-ren Ishii’s getup consists of an all-white kimono, with a white Obi and a black “nagajuban” (inner garment). Tie your hair up in an elegant bun, and wear white “tabi” (divided-toe socks) and slippers. You should also carry a katana.
  • Elle Driver costume- One of the most lethal characters in the movie, Elle Driver wears an all white nurse outfit, a nurse’s cap and a white eyepatch, with a red cross on it, over her right eye. To add a sexy twist to this getup, wear white stilettos and white stockings. Carry a syringe for effect.
  • Gogo Yubari- The 17-year old assistant of O-ren Ishii wears a Japanese schoolgirl uniform (yes, even when she’s fighting), consisting of a black coat, white school blouse, red ribbon, gray and black plaid skirt. White, knee-high socks and sneakers complete the look. You should also make sure your long hair is straight and flat.

These femme fatale costumes are very enjoyable costume options, and they’ll certainly catch everyone’s eye. Try them out and be ready to “kill Bill” during your next costume party!

The Bride’s costume is actually nothing more than a version of Bruce Lee’s yellow jumpsuit which can easily be found in most novelty or costume stores so if you’re finding it hard to find one exactly like hers, you can modify Bruce Lee’s.

Actually, celendra, The Bride’s yellow jumpsuit costume is very different from Bruce Lee’s. I’m a fan of Kill Bill, so I know this very well. The Bride’s version is more detailed, with pockets and different logos. It’s also made of a different material. Bruce Lee’s suit is just a plain one-piece suit that I think has a zipper at the back. It would be kind of difficult to look for The Bride’s version of that suit.
