When you’re asked what is the most popular and timeless science fiction of all time, one movie would come to mind: Star Wars! Filled with high-tech robots and space crafts, jedis with their light sabers slicing through the air, and treacherous villains flying around in a dark and mysterious galaxy, adults and children alike can’t help but fall in love with this film. That’s why when another costume party invitation arrives at your doorstep, you realize that you want to be in a Star Wars costume. Everyone would certainly find this cool and enticing!

You might think it’s difficult to get a Star Wars costume, because you’re thinking about all the high-tech robots and gadgets but the truth is, there are numerous costume ideas you can choose. So instead of opting for a Jar Jar Binks, a Jabba The Hutt or a Droid costume, here are some Star Wars character costumes you can get.

• Han Solo- Remember how Harrison Ford looked so cool while playing the role of this character? You can dress up like him, and all you need are just a few simple items: a long white V-neck shirt, a black vest, black jeans, boots, a belt with gun slings and a couple of (toy) guns in your hands. You’re all set to pilot and fly through the universe!

• Princess Leia- With her snobbish, smart but kind-hearted demeanor, many girls certainly find this arrogant Princess a sight worth seeing, so why not copy her pretty getup? All you need is some white cloth to make her hooded dress and some drop sleeves and a silver belt. Afterwards, tie your hair up in two braids, and twirl them in a bun on either side of your head, just like Leia’s trademark hairdo.

• C-3PO- He is probably one of the most well-loved characters in the movie, and if you want to dress up like him, all you need is some old tight-fitting clothes, some gold paint, a pair of goggles and an old swimming cap. Dress yourself up in these and then ask a friend of yours to spray you all over with gold paint. Just make sure the paint’s washable!

• Darth Vader-He is the Commander-in-Chief of the Galactic Empire, the Dark Lord of the Sith, and the most evil and cunning of all Star Wars characters—of course you want to look like him! All you need is a long-sleeved shirt, a pair of black trousers, a wide black belt, a black cape and some black boots. As for the head gear, you can easily rent one out from a costume shop. There’s even one that makes the Darth Vader grunting noises. Once you’ve got all of these, all you need is a light saber, and you’re ready to rule the galaxy.
