Making Wedding Place Cards

By Angelo

There are lots of lovely decorations that’ll surely make a wedding reception more magical and more delightful. Large ice sculptures, beautiful hanging ornaments and colorful and elegant flower arrangements are just a few popular examples. These will definitely get everyone’s attention, but how about the small details of your party? For one, you have to make sure your table settings are all properly arranged. Why not add a little flair to your tables? Get some wedding place cards to spice them up!

Place cards are small decorative paper or notes, with a name of a particular guest printed on them. They are then placed on every single place setting at the wedding reception. The main purpose of these items is to help your guests have an easier time finding their seats during dinnertime. Aside from that, these also work as wonderful wedding decorations. Having wedding place cards is a great opportunity for you to vamp up your table decors.

Wedding place cards are just as elegant as other wedding items. Although some opt for simple cards with plain but elegant writing on them, some get cards in different colors, shapes and with beautiful calligraphic writings on them. There are even some with designs, drawings or photos (usually, of the married couple) printed on them.

The rule is, you have to make sure your place cards blend well with your chosen theme. For example, if you have a beach wedding party, bluish place cards shaped like shells are a great choice. If the theme is a Japanese wedding, pink, cherry blossom scented place cards are wonderful. It all depends on what your theme is!

Place cards can be used not only for weddings, but also for other occasions, such as baby showers, birthdays, black-tie events and even holiday dinner parties. These items are definitely very flexible and useful.

Go and make your wedding more elegant with elegant place cards! They’ll surely make your special occasion a lot more special!

There’s also a rule when putting names on your place cards. Make sure that you got the titles right and that you address the people correctly. I can’t remember off-hand what they are, but a search google should give you an idea.
