Kinds of Party Food
By Angelo

If you’re having a party, you must prepare some delicious party food to serve your guests. The food you prepare depends on the occasion and the party theme. Whether it’s a simple snack or a full course dinner, you must make sure that the party food is yummy and filling enough to satisfy your guests’ appetites. A large part of your party’s success depends on the party food.
If you don’t know kind of party food to serve for your next celebration, here are a few useful suggestions that you can turn to.
Children’s Birthday Party: A Cartoon Theme Party

Children aren’t picky about their food, as long as you serve them something they’re familiar with. For a cartoon theme, serve them the usual spaghetti with meatballs, but accompany the meal with their favorite sweet pastry: cupcakes. To make them more fun, decorate the cupcakes with frosting that shows faces of the cartoon characters of the party theme. For example, if you have a Powerpuff Girls party, decorate the cupcakes with the faces of Buttercup, Bubbles and Blossom.
As for the party drinks, punch or fruit juice in different flavors is a good choice. They’re healthy options, but very delicious and enjoyable.
Holiday Party: Halloween Party

Monster’s Eye Treat, made from half a hard-boiled egg, a cherry tomato and cheese is a good example of a Halloween party appetizer. Witches’ Fingers, which are actually oblong-shaped cookies with red icing at one tip, are also a popular choice. You can also serve pasta with red sauce, and then name it Bloody Worm Delight. For the drinks, Witches’ Brew is a favorite choice that you can try out, which can be made from different kinds of drink mixes, such as lemon juice, vodka, and ginger ale.
Here’s another yummy food idea for your Halloween party. Just check out the video below.
Ethnic Themed Party: Japanese Party Food

Sushi is a popular delicacy that is always included in any Japanese banquet. It’s made from vinegared rice topped with raw seafood and then rolled within a seaweed wrap. It’s dipped in soy sauce mixed with spicy wasabi. Sukiyaki is also another favorite. This is a one-pot meal similar to a beef stew, but with numerous ingredients added to it, including noodles, tofu, and vegetables. Other dishes that you can serve include Miso soup, Teriyaki chicken and sashimi. For a true Japanese experience, let your guests eat at low tables while using chopsticks.
Formal Party: Black-Tie Dinner Party
Black tie dinner parties are often elegant, classy and sophisticated, and the food you serve should show the same. Expensive food items, such as lamb, duck, veal and prawns, are often used for dishes in these parties. The food also comes in several courses, including appetizer, soup, salad, the main dish, the side dish and the dessert. These are eaten along with a glass of wine or champagne.

For a tasty and formal black-tie meal, you can serve oysters topped with pink grapefruit salad for your appetizer, tasty cream of asparagus for your soup, and eye fillet of beef or salmon fillet for your main dish. End the meal with a yummy lemon and lime tart or a crème brulee with tropical fruit on top.
Whatever the occasion or celebration, parties are never complete without delicious party food. So the next time you’re going to have a party, prepare to dominate the stove and prepare a sumptuous treat for your guests. Good luck and happy cooking!
