Paint Ball Party Ideas
Thinking of a theme for your child’s birthday party? It can be pretty boring if you stick to the traditional cartoon or superhero themes. Some children even find these very uninteresting already. What they want is a party that’ll let them go crazy, be messy, and have loads of fun. Well, here’s a great idea: have a paintball party! Any kid would certainly find this enticing and exciting!
You may think a paintball party is hard to organize. Truth is, it can be a bit cumbersome. You also have to prepare for all the mess the kids are going to make. To help you out with this party idea, here are several useful tips. Go ahead and try them out!
- The invitations should spell out the theme already. Find invites with big paint splatter all over the surface. If you’re having an “army” theme for the paintball party, invitations with army men and soldier decorations would be great.
- Don’t forget to remind guests to wear old clothes and shoes, so even if they get splattered with a lot of paint, there won’t be any worries.
- Prepare your paintball gear, such as paintball guns and non-toxic paint. If you don’t have paintball guns, just prepare water balloons, filled with paint instead of water.
- The venue should be outdoors. You don’t want your interiors to be covered with paint, do you? A garden, a backyard or a park would be okay. Just make sure you clean it up well after the party.
- Your decors should be simple. After all, everyone would be too busy hitting each other with paint ball, they won’t notice these much. Just get giant paint splats on paper. Typical streamers and party banners would also suffice.
- The games and party activities are the highlight of your party. Of course, you should forget to have a paintball war! Divide the children into two groups and have them battle each other out on the field. Other games you can play are tug of war and obstacle course race. If they get tired, you can have face painting or mural painting activities.
- Ask several adults to help you keep an eye on the kids to make sure no one gets hurt. You know how children can get rowdy sometimes. You should also have a first aid nearby.
- Prepare simple snacks for the party, such as hotdog on stick, sandwiches or cupcakes with different colored icings. For the drinks, canned or bottled soda or juice would be a practical option. That way, no paint would mix in the drinks! Ask the children to clean up before eating.
- Don’t let them go away without party favors! Army men action figures, fake tattoos and squirt toy guns are great choices.
Get their adrenaline rushing with a fun paintball party! They’ll definitely think of this as one of the most exciting and enjoyable birthday parties they ever had!

Obviously, you need a very large place for this so kids can have lots of places to get cover. However if you don’t have enough space, you can still have some sort of paintball theme, only this time, you can have target practice instead of all out war.
