Puppy Shower Party Ideas
By Angelo
You’ve finally decided to have a baby…a puppy that is. Since you’re not planning to have a child yet, you’ve just decided to adopt a cute little pup of your own, and to celebrate this wonderful event, you’ve decided to hold a puppy shower! After all, who said that only babies can have this type of celebration? A puppy shower will allow you to have fun with your friends and their pets while welcoming your new best friend into your home.
Puppy showers are very enjoyable and you and your guests will certainly have a wonderful time. Here are several helpful tips to help you plan a fun shower for your doggy friend.
- Don’t forget to send party invites! Make them yourself, with a picture of your pooch on the cover. Paw-shaped invites are also great choices. Make sure you mention that your friends must also bring their dogs to the party, and note: no cats allowed (unless you want a riot)!
- It’s better to hold the party outdoors, such as in your garden. Dogs can get rowdy, and they can mess up your place. Just make sure you provide shade for them, so they won’t be too exposed to sunlight.
- Decorate your place with simple but cute doggie decorations. Paw-print and dog bone balloons are cute choices.
- To prevent doggy poop from messing up your party, prepare a potty area for the dogs, compete with poop bags and trash cans.
- You can’t let your guests and their lovable pets go hungry during your party! Prepare dog chow for the dogs, and snacks for the owners. Put them in separate areas in the venue, so no one gets confused. There are numerous dog food recipes you can prepare for the canine guests, while for your friends, dog bone shaped sandwiches and hotdogs are wonderful choices.
Welcoming a puppy in your home would be a lot of fun with a puppy shower. Let your new best friend have fun during this unique party!

Wow, so puppies can have baby, or rather, puppy showers, too? LOL, that’s cute. Our labrador, Scraps, is too young to have puppies, but when she gives birth to a couple, I think I’m gonna have a puppy shower.

I’m a cat person, but I like this idea! I think I’m gonna have a “kitty shower” instead of a puppy shower when our cat, Patches, gives birth to her kittens.
