Your guests don’t have to use their psychic powers if you send the That’s So Raven party invites two or three weeks before the event. You can design the invitation to look like the That’s So Raven title card, with an orange background with a white circle placed on top of a bigger yellow circle.

You can also have your invitation look like a crystal ball or a playing card. Write, “Hey, ____ I see a fun That’s So Raven party in your future!” Ask them to come in their best That’s So Raven characters, her friends (such as Hannah Montana or Zack and Cody from The Suite Life of Zack and Cody), or as Raven herself.

You should also set up a dress-up space for your guests to take on their disguises. Raven had to rely on her disguises to get out of trouble, so have fun supplying different things for this purpose. You can have specific disguises such as clothes for a doctor, a construction worker or a fireman, among other things. You can also let the kids have design their own personal getups by supplying scarves, hats, wigs, nail polish, vests, makeup and plastic jewelry to create their alter egos.

You could also set up a small fortune-teller’s tent for your guests to know their future. You can do this by using your blankets and ropes, or having a normal camper’s tent covered with blankets instead. Set a low table in the ten with lamps turned on low. Fill the rest of the area with rugs and cushy pillows. Have the fortune-teller read palms, a crystal ball or cards. Whether you’re hiring a professional or not, make sure that they know some of the guests so they could give more “accurate” readings. For example, having the fortune-teller know each guests’ ambitions on what they want to be when they grow up can be very impressive!

Play That’s So Raven songs in the background. Raven Symone also has her own albums out so you can play those, too.

Don’t be Predictable: Having Fun The Raven Way

Raven may get into trouble with her future-seeing ways, but that doesn’t mean everyone has to! These party games may have unpredictable outcomes on who will win, but the guests will surely have an enjoyable time participating. Here are some activity suggestions for your That’s So Raven party.

Find Your Fate and Fortune. Hide a penny, a ring and a feather in strategic areas around the room. Tape a tag to each item saying, “Fortune smiles on you! This (item) promises you (the fortune). The penny promises wealth, the ring promises marriage and the feather promises good health. Gather your guests together and give hints that there are three kinds of items that promises them good fortune if they are found. You can also give out prizes to those who found these items as an extra incentive.

Who Am I? Raven takes on disguises so people won’t know who she is, and here is a game that keeps the kids guessing! Cut out pictures of men and women in different costumes such as a princess or a policeman or a teacher. Paste one picture on a hat, and choose one guest to be “It”. Put the hat with the picture on the guest’s head where the other participants can see but the “It” cannot. Have the “It” guess who is in the picture on their heads by asking questions (“Do I wear a uniform? Do I catch bad people? Do I put out fires?”), and let the other guests give hints by answering yes or no. Reward the guests who are able to guess correctly and give consolation prizes to those who did not.

Disguise Relay. Have the kids disguise themselves in a jiffy! Divide the guests into two groups, and have two boxes full of costume items on the other end of the room. On the word “Go!” one child from each group will run up to the box, and select items for a full costume. They must dress themselves and take off the costumes before going back to their group and having the next child go. The team who wins the relay first, wins.

World of Possibilities Skit. Divide your guests into two or three groups. You will then give them a scenario, for example, “Sheila was walking outside, tripped, and spilled her bottle of milk.” You then ask the children, “How did this happen?” for them to make up a story explaining how Sheila spilled her milk. It can be because her mother asked her to buy milk and she was careless, or she was running around while drinking. Have them imagine different possibilities leading to this scenario and act it out.

Makeover Mania. Have your guests disguise themselves as completely different people using your dress-up space set up specially for them. Have a camera at the ready and take pictures. Later, you can print out these pictures and hand them out as souvenirs for your guests.

Glitter Tattoos. You can hire a professional who can apply glitter tattoos or temporary tattoos on your guests, or have them put on their own. You can make your own glitter by mixing in glitter with ¼ cup of aloe vera.

Fortune-Telling Fun! Using the fortune-teller’s tent that you’ve had set up, let the kids find out more about their future by having their fortunes read. You can use a crystal ball, palm-reading, cards, or just have a Magic-8 ball for this purpose.

For Your Viewing Pleasure. Set up your TV to play That’s So Raven episodes. Just make sure there are lots of comfortable seats where your guests can settle in! You can even watch Raven throw a birthday party herself in the episode “That’s So Raven: Party Animal”.

Karaoke. Set up That’s So Raven tunes in your karaoke machine and give your girls their moment to become Raven herself.
